Is a cracking tread tire safe?

The tread on my tire is cracking.

When the tread on tires starts to crack, then the tires are starting to rot. Once they start to rot, they become unsafe for the roads. As they get hotter, the tread will start to peel and then you will have a flat. If the tread on your tires is starting to crack, replace them.

That is definitely not safe. This means that is has dry rotted. The tire will be very brittle and it his highly likely that it will fail.

It isn't good if your tire is cracking, you should have it checked out because you could blow a tire.

cracked tire tread indicates that the tire is "dry rotting". The rubber is drying out due to age. When this ocurrs, there is the possibility of a blow out.
