In my opinion, no, it is not worth it, because it is very very small. You can not really see much on it. Unless you are a TV addict, who needs to watch all time, it does not make much sense to buy that portable tv.
Imagine watching a video on your mobile phone or MP3 device. The video will be small, but the clarity is good. A 5" TV will be larger than most mobile phones and MP3 devices, and most of them are high-resolution, providing crisp, digital pictures.
Probably the answer to your question depends upon how much you pay for the television set and your reasons for purchasing the portable television. Although many people would consider a five inch screen difficult to enjoy viewing, probably some people simply enjoy listening to television shows; a five inch portable television would provide audio functions.
