Is a 2000 penny that has been struck off-center worth anything?

Unfortunately, off center coins are not that rare. Depending on the extremity, the actual date of mint and the condition of your coin, you might be able to get a couple of singles, but that might actually be reaching for it. I suggest you just hold onto it and show that everyone makes mistakes, even on our money.

Its worth one cent. A coin that's less than 10 years old, unless its a one of kind misprint, is worth pretty much nothing. Thousands of coins are struck off center every day. To get a coin worth anything, you have to go back just a little further. Like 50+years.

Off-center pennies are common and demand is soft. Take it to a reputable coin dealer for a free appraisal. Similarly struck coins are listed on ebay for $5-20. Hang on to it, it may increase over time. A 1955 double-die penny can go for $2000 and there were 40,000 struck.

It probably is worth more than face value, and the value of the penny will be greater if the stike was more off-center.

Yes, any currency which has printing or manufacturing errors is generally worth more to collectors. However, a 2000 penny is neither old, rare nor particularly valuable to begin with. You should keep the penny, since it might have value later. At least it's an object of interest to show people.
