It means that you need to place a SIM card in your phone so that it can perform whichever operation you are asking it to do. In most cases, your phone will ask for a SIM card when you are trying to save something, or store personal information. SIM cards are used to back up your personal data.

The word INSERT SIM means the sim cant asses by the mobile phone. This may due to sim damage or network problem. So please remove the sim and insert it again, it may be work. To clear the doubt about it contact near by retailer and enquire them. Or check the by using in other mobile, it may also work.

It means the phone is not recognising your SIM card. Try taking the card out, turning the phone off and restarting before inserting the card again. Sometimes I blow on the back of the phone to clear out any dust that might be in there. If the SIM is truly defective, you may have to replace it.

In a Chingular phone, you need a SIM card, a small usually white or sometimes orange chip that holds your phone number. It is what allows the phone to recieve calls or texts sent to your phone number. You need to have one, or make sure it is inserted correctly. It's usually in the back under the battery.
