According to Hindu belief, Lord Krishna's biological mother was Devaki,but one who brought him up just like her other son is Yashodha. Due to the cruelty of Devakis brother, Lord Krishna was taken to the loving care of Yashodha. There are many, plays and paintings depicting Yashodhas undue affection for her son i. e. Lord Krishna.

The real mother of Lord Krishna is Devki who gave birth to Him. He was raised and bought up by Yasoda. Devki was Kansa's half sister who was considered son of Demon.
