If my wages are garnished how do I show that on my 1099?

I need to do a 1099 for garnished wages.

If you are doing a 1099 to the person you are paying the garnished wages, fill out form 1099, can be ordered from the IRS or at office supply stores.

There is no need to mention that your wages were garnished. You still made the money, and you will still have to pay taxes on it.

You can't. Any wages garnished will be include in your gross income - whether one's a w-2 or 1099 employee. Amount garnished is consider to be wages earn, which will apply toward one tax liabilities.

An employer may garnish wages. Since you are being paid as an independent contractor, there should be no garnishment at all.
