This is not a one night stand, it is a relationship. He is not leaving because he cannot forgive himself. He is leaving to be with the other woman. If you try to make him stay, realize that he will still cheat. Contact a lawyer to take preventative actions in case of divorce.

Let him go. He's not going to change his mind. If he did he would only feel guilty and it would ruin your marriage.

He's doing you a huge favor. You may love him and forgive him, but isn't the damage already done? Isn't your trust completely violated? He should feel guilty. Let him leave - you will be happier in the long term.
