The first place to search when attempting to adopt a pet would be a local animal shelter. Another avenue would be to run a search on a search engine.

Go to your local dog pound or humane society first to see if they have any for adoption, if not then check your local paper.

Go to petfinder and put in the breed and they will be able to show you all of them availble.
