I need help with what to say to a girl on the phone. What advice can you give me?

Try asking her questions about herself or her family. People seldom have a hard time talking about stuff like that. Show interest in her, and this will help you both relax. Ask her what she likes to do in her free time, and hopefully you will come across many things that you all have in common.

First off, just be yourself. A good way to do things is ask questions about herself (her likes, dislikes, future goals, etc. ,). Find out about her, and then follow up on these questions. Hopefully she will respond with questions about you, and you can go from there. If not, you are in trouble!

Some people just don't like to talk on the phone. Just let her know that. See if you can set up a time to talk to her in person.

It depends on what your relationship with her is, but really, just treat her as you would anyone else, don't put girls on pedestals, you can't build any kind of report if the both of you aren't on equal ground, so find things in common and listen to her.
