I have had these colored lines on my screen, and every other month, another line pops up, there are 14 lines in total, how do I get rid of them?

Right click on the desktop, select properties, and go to the settings tab, and hit the Advanced button. On Monitor tab, and click the Screen Refresh Rate menu and change the hertz. Or unplug all the wires , reset all the settings once again and put on the computer,this may help.

Maybe your graphic card is damaged. you could buy a new card, then you can be sure that you got rid of them (if it isn't a software problem, therefore reinstall your system first! ). The second option is to put your graphic card without cooler and plastics in an oven at 120° for 30 mins and try if it works.

Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do to permanently remove the lines. Sometimes you can apply pressure on the outside of the screen and it will sometimes remove some of the lines. You could try applying a small clamp to get rid of the lines, but this doesn't really fix it. A new screen is the only permanent fix.

This may be caused by magnetisation of metallic elements on CRT surface. Cycle through the display controls and select the degauss option. Degaussing is the process of demagnetising CRT.
