How will being married change there results of my FAFSA?

If you are recently married, the change will be reflected in the FAFSA that you file for the next academic year. While marriage may increase your gross income, your expenses also increase, so the change is not necessarily one that will decrease your aid package.

Being married will reduce the amount of financial aid you qualify for through FAFSA because it takes into account the income of your spouse which is will increase your gross income.
