Put your key in the ignition and let that bad boy rev. If your car seems to only mumble, with a little drained out engine sound, then jump start it.

If the car has not been started for a long time the battery is probably dead. Try to use another car and jumper cables to start the car.

Start by making sure the engine isn't seized by turn the engine by hand. Then flush the old gas out and add some fresh. Charge up the battery until it's full. Then do a visual inspection to make sure everything(wires, fluid, belts, etc.. ) look good before starting it. You may want to use a little starting fluid in the cylinders.
