How safe are simple tire repairs?

Please do not repair the tire by your self while it is very dangerous,it is suggested that if the tires are badly damage change them at once, if they are mild damage or punctured repair them at own but keep in mind that car is running on tires,so its better not take any risk.

Typically they are very safe. Make sure you have your repairs done at a service shop. If they feel that its unsafe to repair the tire, they won't repair it.

depending on the method of repair they can be from very safe, to very dangerous. retreading tires is a very dangerous practice that may save money but cost your life.

It depends on what exactly you mean by "simple" tire repairs. Tire plugs are pretty safe. As long as you know what you are doing it is usually fine.
