The reliability for a remote start on a Pathfinder depends on quality factors (aftermarket, oem). Generally speaking, aftermarket remote starts are problematic, as factory sealed wiring harnesses are cut to install the system. In a factory system, the remote start is already integrated into the wiring harness of the vehicle

It all depends on who makes the remote start for the pathfinder. The cheaper ones will not last as long as most of the higher ends ones. But all will last a few years.

Depending on the year of the pathfinder, and if the remote start is after market or a stock option, the reliability varies, the best thing to do would be to get a "nissan approved" product
