How profitable is a golf driving ranger business?

If you already have the land in a favorable location, a driving range might be a good business for you. But keep in mind you will need a large capital investment for equipment such as a tractor, large poles for electric lights, landscaping for short game practice area and the putting green. How much competition will you have?

Land and permitting are the two biggest obstacles before you can consider opening a driving range. If you find land in a rural area, will their be enough customers to be profitable? Are you able to permit for your specified purpose? A driving range is definitely worth considering.

It all depends on the location of the range (high traffic area), and most importantly, how much you have to pay for the land (only really big cost is the land).

I've seen many driving ranges have continual business over the years. The single biggest factors for success would be location and hours.
