I am a big believer in staying hydrated when exercising. Take at least a quart with you. Water is good but also a small bottle of gatorade to replenish your electrolytes ( body minerals ) is a good idea.

It varies with how much you weigh, how much you sweat, and how fit you are. Typically it is suggested to bring about a liter for every two hours you are hiking. Of course, you might also find other freshwater sources on the hike, which are usually fine to drink.

It depends on the length of the hike. Budget half a liter for every hour you walk, more if it's hot or if you tend to sweat a lot.

It depends how long the hike is, and how warm the weather is. Take at least 1 quart for every hour, and 1-2 extra bottles if you can.

It is best to drink 1/2 to 1 quart of water every hour. Make sure you eat something. If you drink too much then you can become sick. Balance.

If you are going on a long hike then i would bring at least 20 to 24oz of water. If you are the kind of person that sweats a lot then you should bring at least 24oz of water. But if you dont think that that will be enough than dont hesitate to bring more. Better safe than sorry.

This is a terrible, dangerous answer. 24oz is certainly not enough for a long hike. 1/2 to 1 quart per hour is better.  add a comment
