You should be drinking half of your weight in water every day. How to figure this out. Is say you are 140 lbs. divide it by 2. That means this person would be drinking 70 ounces of water a day. It is just over 8 glasses of 8 ounces water.

The general rule of thumb is 8 glasses of water a day. Though don't force yourself to drink water. If you drink too much water, you can kill yourself. Drink when you are thirsty or showing signs that you are dehydrated, but please keep in mind to pace yourself so you don't get too much.

You should dring two gallons a day, or more. But be careful, consuming to much water can drown yourself internally.
