A ten month old should be getting approximately 14 hours of sleep a day. Generally speaking, about 12 hours straight during the evening, with either two one hour naps during the day, or one two hour nap.

Sleep needs vary greatly among children. My first child slept much less, was down to one, 1 hour nap by 10 months. My second child was still taking 2 1. 5 hour naps at 10 months.
