This will very greatly depending on the year of the Taurus. You could be looking at $200 to $2000. Find a very reputable parts company/ junk yard to buy from to gaurantee you aren't buying a bad motor. Research and get as many prices as you can first and compare them along with the warranty they give you before buying.

You could buy a used motor from a salvage yard for a few hundred dollars. You could buy a re manufactured motor for half the cost of a new one.
