If you want to know the value of a car you should consult a vehicle pricing guide. Kelly's Blue Book and N.A.D.A. Guide are both two good ones. You can look up values on either site for free. Just be sure to consider the dent after pricing.

Explorers are made by ford. I'm a true die hard Chevy fan so if you want my opinion, I say junk it! and hope the scrap price is enough to take your loved ones to your favorite fast food joint and have a Berger and fries. Kelly blue book can tell you for sure. $1,200 I say.
