How much hair on our head grows a day?

Answer by  debra207 (207)

This question is worded rather oddly. The average person loses 100 hairs per day, 100 new hairs are also regenerated. The average human hair grows at a rate of one half inch per month. The way the question is worded, I would have to answer that 100% of our hair grows daily.

Hair grows approximately 1/2 per month or. 4 mm per day. Hair is made from kerotin, which is a protein so your diet attributes to the rate at which your hair grows, and your nails as well. Regular trims will keep your hair from becoming damaged and breaking off.
