How much does a stamp cost?

Answer by  timmsa (577)

The current stamp cost is 44 cents. But I am sure before to long the post office will want to raise it again. The reason for this they say is because the cost of shipping the mail has increased, but yet the revenue has decreased because everyone is either paying bill or sending messages online now.

At the moment in the United States, stamp costs forty four cents a piece, which is a small raise from the previous postage of forty two cents within the last year. One stamp can be used for up to four pieces of paper. A book of twenty stamps will cost you eight dollars and eighty cents.
