In my experience MOST repair shops charge an hourly fee plus any parts that they use. They fee is usually based on how long the job is SUPPOSED to take. I personally would try store bought Stop Leak myself, unless the leak is too big. Then even the shop might not be able to repair it.

It can very widely. Some shops will want to replace the radiator and it could cost hundreds of dollars. Some try a can of stop leak first for $20.

Repair shop rarley will repair a radiator leak. They will recomend a new radiator. Although if the leaks small enough they will charge about $150. 00 for labor plus parts which are $20. 00. Its cheaper to go to an auto parts store and buy Barr Leak Fix for radiators and hearer cores and just pour it in the radiator.
