First I would talk to the Fire Marshall, they can give you this information and tell you if it is legal to put this in your home. You might have to do something to the floor to make it fireproof and have special ventilation in the rooms that it is going to heat.
The distance between the stove and the wall should be 18" to avoid the fire accidents. So be conscious when we work with stove and have to off the stove once the work is over.
Please call your fire marshall in your area. He will tell you where and how you should install your wood stove. He will also tell you the clearance it should be from any surrounding houses.
You want enough room so that the door can open all the way without hitting the wall. But you only need about 5 inchs of space between the stove and the wall, unless your walls are highly flameable.
I would normally leave about six inches from the wall and your Buck stove. I would not have it any close because it could create some tension in the wires.
