Answer by  Jimbob (2275)

This depends on the size of the tire. You can figure it out by taking the outside circumference of the tire and dividing it by the number of feet in a mile. Then times 60 for total revolutions.

Well this is impossible to say without more information. It would require knowing what the overall wheel/tire circumference to calculate rpm. Then you could calculate rpm per hour by dividing the distance by that measurement.

the number of revolutions is different for different size tires. the first thing you must find is the diameter of the tire. take that number and plug it in to this equation: 63360/(diameter x 3. 14)= revs per minute 3. 14 is pi and 63360 is the number of inches per mile

there are only 63360 inchs in a mile Only 2 inch of tire is actually in contact with the road @ 60 mph,so at a constant speed of 60 mph for the entire of 100 miles There are 63. 360 inches in a mile 63,360*100=6,3360,000 inches in a trip 2 of tread revolves around a 15 tires 7. 5 times

I cannot tell you with out knowing the the overall tire circumference. You need to divide the mph by the circumference to find out hour many revolution will occur.

Well without knowing the diameter of the tire it is impossible to say. Once you know this you can calculate how many time the wheel turns per foot. Then divide the distance being covered by this and it will tell you how many time ti will turn over that distance during a specific time period.
