How much a yard of beer holds vary a lot by how small the shaft is and how quickly it increases in size. The usual standard is 1. 7 liters or approximately 56 ounces.

There is not an answer since a yard of beer refers to the VARIABLE quantity of beer held by a very tall glass (called yard glass). Unfortunately, it is not a standardized measure: it depends on the real size of the glass (it can be more or less thick)
