How many gallons of water are in a pool?

I want to know now many gallons of water are in a standard pool.

Correct answer. Gallons=area x average depth x 7.5. To figure area: length X width To figure average depth: (shallow end + deep end) divide by 2 example: 3.5 feet + 8.5 feet) divide 2 = 6 feet example: gallons =(50feet x 24feet) x 6 feet x 7.5 gallons = 54,000.

There is no "standard" pool; you will need to know the diameter and depth of the pool to calculate the gallons.

You can calculate the gallons in a pool by taking the height x width x length. There is no one standard pool size. Many configurations are available.
