Most IUDs today, it takes about a month for fertility to return. I had mine in for only 6 months due to problems, had one period after it was removed, and was pregnant right after that. IUDs offer no protection after removed, so it is just a matter of your body returning to normal.

An IUD does not interrupt ovulation. After the IUD is removed, you could become pregnant at any time. The IUD should not interfere with the normal function of your body in that regard. Once the IUD is removed, it will take as long to get pregnant as it would had you never had the device.

For healthy women it can take anywhere from three months to one year to conceive. This varries based on age and timing.
