It takes about eight to twelve weeks for your body to get back to some normality by six months everything should have returned to normal. Your uterus starts to shrink back to its original size immediately and you will get abdominal cramps after the birth. Should be back to normal size in a couple of days.

If the uterus once got enlarged after the pregnancy won't go to the same position as before. The uterus after getting enlarged will take atleast a month to returned to normal size.More over the nature of delivery has to be taken into consideration. The time period may differ for each person according to the nature of the body.

The uterus never regains its original size once a pregnancy has occurred. It expanded greatly during the pregnancy and will never reduce to the same size as before the pregnancy. Think of a balloon. That is the basic concept. Sadly, you will not have that flat stomach that you had before.

The uterus enlarges over the course of the pregnancy to provide room for a growing baby. It typically takes a minimum of six weeks to shrink to almost pre-pregnancy size. It can take several months of toning to get a flat stomach back. The wider hips and breasts are permanent.
