How long is an active MRSA lung infection contagious?

it depends on immunue system of the living body. if body immunity is low or immunu suppressed patient, persist long time other complications such as boil, carbuncle, eczema etc. if immunity system is high then it can not persist long time. Generally patient should be monitored 1 to 2.5 years. thank you

A MRSA lung infection is contagious until the bacteria has cleared. Once the cough and fluid in the lungs has cleared, it is generally no longer considered contagious. A doctor can do a chest X-ray to see if there is any evidence of fluid remaining in the lungs after an infection.
