It depends a lot on how severe it is. If you get immediate medical attention, with the use of antibiotics, you notice a big difference in one or two days. A doctor usually gives you 10 days of antibiotics.

Antibiotics are prescribed to patients who have UTI. Usually, relief from the symptoms are felt within two days of the medication but it should still be taken for the full course that the doctors has prescribed. If symptoms get worse the patient should consult the doctor.

A UTI can last indefinitely if your body does not fight it off or it is not treated. But it is possible for them to go away on their own.

Urinary tract infections are very common in women (both teens and adults) and typically last about a week. Antibiotics are usually prescribed through your doctor, and will clear the infection right up, but to help the problem along be sure to drink a lot of water and empty your bladder as often as possible.

UTI can easily be treated with short course of antibiotics. The time taken for complete cure depends upon the severity of UTI.
