You should not breed more than once a year, and you really shouldn't let your animal have more than 2-3 litters. You will wear them out, and it becomes cruel.

Dogs should not be breed the first time until they are 2 years old. Your female should only be breed every other year. At the very most you need to have one season between breedings. It is important for them to build their strength back up. Being pregnant too often produces weaker puppies, sometimes higher death ratio.

It depends on the animal and breed. Cats can be bred again right after the first litter is taken care of and able to fend for itself. Dogs however it may be medically beneficial to wait a bit longer before they are bred again, my suggestion would be 6 months but again this depends on the type of dog.

after full sexual maturity of 12 to 15 months, it is ready for normal breeding cycle (breed again) which is 6 to 8 month once for health balance..

You should wait a year or longer to try and get the dog to have a liter again. She will need to recover from the first one. I think that is how long you should wait to have another litter. I hope this answers your question about it. Good luck.
