It depends on what kind of ant you mean. The kind of ants you see in your house live about 90 days, although it is possible for harvester ants to live 3 to 6 months. A queen leafcutter ant from Africa can live 14 years!
Female ants have the ability to live up to a year, but most ants die within just a few months. Male ants die as soon as they mate so they have a much shorter life span. Queen ants actually live for several years.
