Our government is a Representative Republic whereas the people vote in a politian to represent thier intrests and run the gov't on thier behalf. Politians are failing in this regard.
The US government is run by an elected President who handles all aspects of day to day operations including policy initiatives. Sometimes, unproductive politicians must be reminded of their obligations.
