The handspring visor has a slot where you can add more memory to the device where the palm pilot's lower end models are not capable of that function. The Handspring Visor also has a higher starting cost of around $150.
Handspring visor is different to Palm Pilot by its processor, it uses modified version
Palm OS 3.1H running on 16MHz and has an enhanced datebook and advanced calculator as well.
The Palm Pilot is similar to the Handspring visor, but had a black and white screen rather than a color one. The infrared port is also in a different spot.
These PDA's are very much different. The first major difference is the operating system. I would recommend trying them both in the store to see which better fits you.
