How is it that Eliot Spitzer is back on discussion shows and is giving interviews?

It's like he's an expert on how to survive a scandal.

I agree. I too am surprised he's returned to the public arena. Not only ballsy of him to do it, but I'm surprised the American public and media is welcoming him not from a interview-the-person-involved-in-the-scandal perspective but a legitimate public opinion angle. I'm surprised.

I agree. I think second chances are warranted, but in his case, this was a pretty egregious first offense -- egregious enough to obviate the chance for a second chance.  add a comment

People usually like people who have been in a scandal; think of Monica Lewinski or Octomom. The more scandalous the event, the more the public like it, even if they are criticizing the person for having been involved in the scandal. People like drama.

It's the way things work when you are rich or famous. If you kiss the right butts, you can get out of anything.

I cannot believe he has his own show on CNN. I'm completely shocked. It's one thing if he did something shady, but this guy did something illegal. I don't know what end is up anymore.
