The ultrasound will form a picture of the baby, so the technician looking at the image will be able to see the size of the baby and where it is in its physical development.

It is simple. The ultrasound can determine how the baby is developing by visuals seen on the screen but the size of the fetus is the defining factor when it comes how it is.

Ultrasounds determine the size of the baby and how far along vital organs, such as the heart and lungs, are developed. The technician or doctor then compares the size of your baby and the development of the lungs and heart to what the average of normal babies should be and how far the lungs and heart have until birth.
