The router should have one input for your main input, and then the outputs should go to each of your computers. If you buy one it will have instructions.

Using a router in your home is easy. Simply plug all computer up to the router or connect via wireless card. You can use the router for sharing an internet connection. To do this simply plug your internet modem into the router. You can also share a printer and files by turning network sharing on.

Most routers designed for home use have 5 ports. One port will be offset from the others and labelled "WAN". Connect your cable modem or DSL modem into this port with an Ethernet cable. Connect each computer you want to have internet access to the remaining ports.

Buy one from walmart. buy enough network cords for all computers or get a wireless router if you have wireless computers. Stick the installation cdrom in one of your computers and simply go through the prompts. it will tell you what to do each step of the way.

You need to follow the instructions that came with your router in order to install it. Then you need to make sure that you have wireless cards in each computer.
