How do you treat mold on red oak bark?

Depending on if it's mold or mildew this could be treated with a fungicide. This could be sooty mold, black mildews, or any other superficial fungi.

This occurs where insects are thriving and numerous, especially aphids,white flys, and scales. Control the insects with an environmentally safe insecticide. The mold on the tree will disappear if you get rid of the insect population.
