If a child keeps complaining with headaches, I would take them on to a doctor to diagnose the problem. He will give the child a medication if he diagnose it as migraines. He might would give the child a shot to knock out the pain. Then he would probably give a medication to take at the begining of one coming on.

A doctor would have to diagnose migraines in children. He would probably do tests to rule out brain tumors or any other abnormalities. The doctor would then prescribe the right kind of pain killer for the child. Migraines are successfully treated in children but a diagnosis by a doctor is crucial.

Migraines in children must be treated with the advice of a doctor. Rest and over-the-counter pain medication (not aspirin) may help, but they may not be effective. Migraine symptoms are the same as for adults: severe headache accompanied by nausea, dizziness, sensitive to light and sound, and aura.
