Depends on what is causing the itching and then a treatment can be divised. There could be an urinary tract infection and that can be treated with medication that will treat the infection and the symptoms will go away. This is rarer in males than females but it can happen.

You should be checked by a doctor for sexually transmitted diseases like Gonorrhea, Chlamydia or Syphilis. It could be due to the prostate inflammation or a urinary tract infection as well. An antibiotic called Vibramycin is a common cure. Drinking lots of water and cranberry juice can be helpful in milder cases.
