Usually infections are treated with antibiotics. You will need a prescription to buy the antibiotics, so you will need to see a doctor who can verify the infection and write you the prescription.
If it is a small cut, wash the area and apply hydrogen peroxide and then apply a thin coating of Neosporin, cover the cut. Be sure to keep applying the ointment and clean dressing. Expose it to air when it is healed enough.
Clean the wound with an antiseptic and then cover with a cloth to prevent dust. Make sure you are inoculated against tetanus and avoid exposing the wound to too much heat since it will make it sour. It is also good to clean it every day so that it heals fast.
