You start by creating a business plan that shows you have researched the industry and can make the argument for the necessity of the enterprise.

You need capital, which you get by creating a comprehensive business plan detailing the need for the business as well as reasons why you're a great candidate to do that (business background, education, experience, etc.) Once you write the business plan, you have all the info to get started.

It might help to start with a local band. Find a group that you like and ask them if they have a CD of music they'd like to promote. Take their music and post it on either Youtube or Facebook, or simply advertise on Twitter. You can get the ball rolling that way.

Get a shop for rent or buy it, construct in such a way that you can display the music disks so that the customer can make a good choice.
