These were made around 1852 to 1881. You can look for two numbers stamped on the movement plate which could be in the format 10 28 this could be October. In older clocks, 1852 -1881, look for Gothic styles steeples or pointed tops.

Use your index finger to push the hands on the clock forward or backward. This may require slight wrist movement as well.
