Some systems can be reset by locking your doors with the power lock switch and unlocking the passenger door with the key. Otherwise, you need to go to the dealership.

The VATS system on Pontiac's is reset automatically after 15 minutes of being idle. Don't attempt ot start the car or insert the key for 15 minutes after an unsuccessful attempt at starting the car. Once this time has passed, you can try agian as the VATS automatically resets itself.
