You're going to need a lochtech reprogram converter, this can be purchased at many of your local electronic stores or online. This is a fairly difficult repair, if you consider yourself a novice i would recommend either consulting your car manual, or seeking the help of a licensed mechanic to-be safe.

It really depends on the year of the vehicle but I would purchase a haynes manual or a factory manual from ebay or Saab. This will tell you how to program the unit correctly.

Well, For this perticular repair, your are going to need a few "sockets," "allen wrenches," and some eletrical tape. Go ahead and kill ur car, because it is extremly dangerous to keep it going, take it apart and then take the red wire and attach it to the black wire.

Follow the programming directions in your owners manual. Or take it to a dealer they will be able to do it for you.
