On the four cylinder there is a plastic cover ontop of the engine that says "Mitsubishi" 6 screws hold it down. Remove it. There are four spark plug wires under the cover, pull them up, after the wires are up the spark plugs are exposed. Remove the spark plugs.

You are going to need to find the spark plugs. On a front wheel drive they are going to be in front and back and you need a plug socket.

You are going to want to make sure you remove the spark plug wires and then you will need a socket made for spark plugs. Gap the plug also.

You would replace them similar to any other engine. The only tricky part is that on some engines the plugs a down in the head requiring a tool or a simple piece of rubber hose to remove and install the. Be sure to use a little anti-seize on the threads.

You will need a rachet, 6" extension, and an 11/16 spark plug socket. Remove the plug wires one at a time, replace the plug and replace the plug wire. Depending upon the engine, there may be plugs on the back side hidden by the upper intake plentum.
