How do you replace the pull cord on a lawn mower?

It's attached inside the housing for the pull cord. When you remove the housing you need to be very careful as there is a coiled spring that will unwind if you're not careful, making your job much harder. If you get if off without the spring uncoiling, then you'll see where the cord attaches and can fix it from there.

On the top f the pushing lawnmower there is the wheel that houses the cord remove all screws that hold the cover grate on the mower and remove the reel. Think of it as a big fishing reel.
