You'll need to remove the fluorescent lighting by disconnecting the wire from the back of the fluorescent lights and then replace with recessent lighting by connecting the wires of these lights.
Taking down the fluorescent is no problem, and your current wiring should be sufficient- as far as recessing the lighting, the Home Depot guys probably have a walkthrough.
