How do you replace a Ford power steering?

Locate the pump under your hood, place something under neath the pump to drain all the fluid out. Remove the bolt that is located at the bottom of the pump where the hose is connected. There are four nuts and screws that hold the pump in place, remove those and reattach the new pump the same way.

Be careful, hoses have pressure inside them. Remove the low and high powersteering hoses. Remove the bolts. Reverse actions for installation.

Siphon as much fluid as possible from the power steering reservoir. Remove the lines at the pump. Remove the serpentine belt. Remove the pump. Install new unit in reverse order.

Open the hood of the Ford, then locate the power steering pump that is connected to the back wall of the motor cp,partment. Look for a container with a black cap. Place a large cup under the to collect the power steering fluid that will need to be drained.

To replace a Ford power steering. 1 Open the hood of the ford.Locate the power steering pump. 2 Place a large cup underneath the power steering. 3 Remove the bottom nut. 4 Remove the power steering securing nuts. 5 Pull the power steering pump out of the engine compartment.
